Here are some easy photos to guide you though making pretty pink ombre’ buttercream frosted sugar cookies with little flower gardens. First step, mix your buttercream colors and fill your piping bags. You will need tips 4 to outline cookies, and tip 5 to fill them in. You will need a hot cup of water to smooth your buttercream and a small spatula to even the frosting. You will need a variety of tips to make your gardens, I used tips 101, 14, 21 and 4.
You don’t have to pipe your buttercream prefect since you will be smoothing it with your spatula.
I dip my spatula into HOT water and dry it quickly with a towel to make the buttercream nice and smooth.
